Analyzing the parts of the essay:

Introduction :

           Introduce the topic to be argued and establish its importance. Provide background information.

Claim :

        State your argumentative thesis

Supporting the claim:

Construct reasons for supporting your claim.

Counter Argument:

Raise arguments against the claim; challenge them with reasons of your choice.

Conclusion:

Summarize the argument; remind readers of what you expect them to do or what you want them to believe.
