ANALYSIS RESULTS - Biology - GRADE9A

Teacher's notes:

    The analysis summarizes the results of the biology test administered to 18 students in grade 9. The average score for the knowledge questions was 83%, with application questions a standard deviation of 84%. The average score for the reasoning questions was 86.2%. The report suggests that the most student performance was same in all knowledge, application and reasoning questions. Some students need review of topics classification and binomial naming as these were the most challenging topics for them. More practice will be given for low achievers.

Teacher's notes:

   The biology result analysis provides a detailed overview of the students' performance in knowledge application and reasoning questions in grade 10 in topics coordination and response, which include the nervous system, the endocrine system, Topical response and homeostasis. The overall result shows mix scores from high, average to low achievers. The analysis also identifies the strengths and weaknesses of the students in each topic, as well as the areas for improvement and the recommendations for future teaching and learning. Following the analysis more practice will be given to low achievers.

       The analysis of the biology results of grade 11 students exhibits excellent performed in knowledge application and reasoning questions related to cell structure. The students showed a high level of understanding of the basic concepts and functions of cell structure, such as organelles, membranes, and cytoskeleton. The students also demonstrated good skills in applying their knowledge to solve problems and explain phenomena related to cell structure, such as diffusion, osmosis, and cell division.

  The analysis of the biology results of grade 11 students exhibits excellent performed in knowledge application and reasoning questions related to cell structure. The students showed a high level of understanding of the basic concepts and functions of cell structure, such as organelles, membranes, and cytoskeleton. The students also demonstrated good skills in applying their knowledge to solve problems and explain phenomena related to cell structure, such as diffusion, osmosis, and cell division.

    Senior Teacher's notes:

  Grade 11 and 12 students have shown excellent performance in biology short test 1. In general grade 10 students need more practice. Teacher is suggested to continue with the remedial teaching-learning for better performance of low achievers in upcoming test. Remedial classes will be followed up to bring our the maximum achievement in biology.

    Principal's notes:

   Excellent students performance of grade 11 and 12 on all skills of short test 1 .However grade 9 result have shown low marks in reasoning skills .Grade 10 a very moderate result in all skills. Teacher therefore is advised to reflect on statistics and individual achievements and apply more practice assessment tools for these grades to improve their understanding and better their skills .More concentration and Phocis to apply more training for students on particular questions  during lessons and remedial cessions  is a must .
