OBJECTIVE.TO UNDERSTAND THE MEANING AND FORM OF THEGRAMMAR STRUCTURE.

LESSON: Passive statements (present perfect).

 we use the passive voice when we don’t say who does the action. in this case, the object of an active sentence becomes the subject of a passive sentence.

The passive voice can be used both in the present and past tense.

You can also use the passive voice in the present perfect tense.

 

For example:

Active

Passive

I’ve sent my message.

I’ is the subject, and message is the object.

My message has been sent.

Here, message becomes the object.

 

 VOCABULARY: WORD STUDY(CONNOTATION).

Connotation refers to words that have similar meaning, but also have a positive or negative sense.

For example.

1.    The helpful nurse was very attentive. (positive)

2.    The pesky mosquito won’t leave me alone. (negative)
